Appendix 6: Error messages

1. File not found: Filename specified for load does not exist.

2. Bad filename: Invalid DOS filename (invalid characters used, and, or, too long name specified).

3. No samples selected: The operation cannot be completed as no samples are currently selected (see section IV.2.).

4. Data not entered: There are no major-element data in the memory and thus no calculation can be performed or results viewed/saved.

5. No results: No results have been calculated yet and thus they cannot be viewed/saved.

6. Calculation error. Program X, sample no. Y (Z): An error occurred while calculating values of a standard module or an user-defined function X at sample number Y (in brackets is the corresponding sample name, Z).

7. Constant X not found in Y, Z-th parameter: Constant X called by the Z-th parameter of an user-defined function Y was not found in the constants configuration file (CONST.DAT).

8. Data not found for X in Y, Z-th parameter: This is not a valid oxide/element name.

9. Program X not found in Y, Z-th parameter: There is neither a standard module nor an user-defined function with the specified default suffix X (although it is called by the Z-th parameter of an user-defined function Y).

10. Parameter X not found in Y, Z-th parameter: There is no parameter X calculated by the specified standard module or user-defined function (although it is called by the Z-th parameter of an user-defined function Y).

11. Printer is OFF LINE: Printer is not ready to receive the data. Switch it on and set it on line.

12. Argument not found: Search argument not found among the selected analyses (menu item "Go to").

13. Parameter not found: Search argument has not been found in the list of names of calculated parameters.

14. File error: An attempt on loading a file with improper structure has been made.

15. All samples selected: You cannot select additional analyses if the whole data set is selected.
